Georgia Brady-Tompt (b. 2000 in San Francisco, USA). She graduated from the Slade School of Art in 2024 and currently lives and works in Brussels, Belgium. Working across sculpture and painting, Georgia Brady-Tompt creates modular installations that play with our perception of place-making. They unsettle the familiarity of domestic and industrial spaces by incorporating recognisable objects often found in working systems. The painted surface in her work serves to inform the illusory or exaggerated interior geometry, often becoming cannibalised into the sculptures themselves. The work often gets rearranged, reassembled, and deconstructed indefinitely, to parallel our continuous shifting recognition of our relationships with our architectures.
